TimeZarrow is an eclectic folk/rock/blues/jam band featuring George Downey on lead guitar, vocals and occasionally fiddle (and possibly banjo or keys), Jim Dewey on rhythm guitar and vocals, Dave Vargo on bass, and Ian Witt on drums.
Musical influences as diverse as Phish, Pink Floyd, Yes, They Might Be Giants, Dylan, and R.E.M. are distilled in unique original songs by George and Jim. Also detectable is a whiff of Irish or English flavored folk in some of George's songs and fiddle playing. This stems from early British folk-rock influences, as well as Irish and American folk fiddlers.
Those desiring a cd should contact the band. We have a full-length one "in the can", and are working on cover art for it. We will be doing another recording in the near future to be more representative of the current line-up and repertoire. If you ask for a recording, we will get something to you, even if it is not packaged as we would like it.
